Involvement motivates the members of Lisle Township Democratic Organization. And there is no involvement too small to make a difference. What can you do?
First, join us. We meet the 3rd Monday of every month, 7:00 PM, at the Woodridge Public Library on Plaza Drive. A $20 annual contribution is appreciated, but not required. Then choose an activity that interests you, one that fits your talents and that conforms with the amount of volunteer time you have available.
- Become a precinct committee(wo)man, working with your neighbors to get out the vote.
- Attend township meetings, share ideas and bring important issues to the fore.
- Serve in the polling place as an election judge.
- Work directly on a candidate’s campaign, on phone banks, voter registration, literature stuffing, office work and more.
- Represent the township at the county Democratic organization.
- Serve on any of the township organization’s staff committees.
- Help recruit strong Democratic candidates to run for office.
There is always too much work, especially at election time, and too few volunteers. Customize your involvement to make the most difference and to be the most gratifying.
